Mary has been described as a true believer in giving back to the community, especially those less able to help themselves, and is lauded for innovative ideas that deliver lasting results.

She is the office manager for the Chinatown branch of First Republic Bank, where she oversees the provision of a full array of banking and financial services to clients. She has earned several individual and team achievement awards within the Bank.

In addition to her job responsibilities, Mary has devoted countless hours to numerous community organizations. Currently she serves on the board of the Community Youth Center. Among the groups that have benefitted from her fundraising assistance are: Family Bridges, the Chinese Newcomer Service Center, Chinese Hospital, On Lok, and Gum Moon Women’s Residence.

Mary was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager. While pursuing her economics degree at U.C. Berkeley, Mary was selected as a delegate to the China Synergy Program for Outstanding Youth, which drew attendees from around the world. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, Mary studied Japanese and received a scholarship from the Japanese Consulate in San Francisco for a two-week study tour in Japan.
