Statement of Solidarity
To Our PAAWBAC Community,
We are outraged by the senseless killing of eight people, six of them Asian American women, in the Atlanta area. This comes on top of a wave of violence directed at Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, most of the attacks against women. We grieve for the families of the Atlanta victims.
We condemn the racism and misogyny that fuels attacks against AAPIs and other people of color, as well as the fetishization and hypersexualization of AAPI women.
